On 28-30 April 2024, Ph.D. students of Development Education enroling in the subject of Royal Development Studies had a field trip at Phetchaburi Province. Starting with lecturing on the Kings and the development of Phetchaburi City, especially during the reigns of Rama IV – Rama VI, from Asst. Prof. Saenprasert Panniem. After that, they learn about the royal ideas of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn in restoring Wat Yai Suwannaram, which will be restored soon with today’s speaker, Mr. Kritsadakorn Inkonglas. Learning about concrete development at the Huai Sai Royal Development Study Center under the Royal ideas about vetiver grass and biochar, including meeting a leading farmer, Mr. Sayan Phakdeecharoen, who has adopted the new agricultural theory and applied it effectively. Finally, they met the private sector that has embraced the philosophy of the Sufficiency Economy in a concrete way at Sufficiency Economy Farm, Phetchaburi, where the speaker, Ms. Damratsiri Thirangkun, lectured and discussed in a friendly atmosphere.
